Friendship Peak Expedition

Begin your adventure as you depart from Chandigarh/Delhi, embarking on a scenic journey to Manali. The road trip sets the tone for the expedition, allowing you to soak in the changing landscapes. Upon reaching Manali (2050m), take some time to acclimatize and explore the charming surroundings.

The expedition officially kicks off with a trek from Manali to Solang Nala, followed by a gradual ascent to Dhundi (3150m) and Bakarthach (3300m). The trek offers breathtaking views of the Himalayan terrain, showcasing natures grandeur. Bakarthach serves as the perfect location to set up camp and rest for the night.

Todays trek takes you from Bakarthach (3300m) to the Advance Base Camp at Lady Leg (3840m). The journey is filled with awe-inspiring landscapes and challenging terrains, testing your trekking skills. Upon reaching the Advance Base Camp, settle in and revel in the achievement of reaching this elevated destination.

Prepare for the next phase of the expedition as you move from the Advance Base Camp at Lady Leg to the Summit Camp, situated at 4000m. A ferry assists in the transition, offering a unique experience. This day sets the stage for the forthcoming ascent to Friendship Peak.

The Summit Camp becomes a hub of activity as you dedicate the day to meticulous preparations for the Friendship Peak ascent. At an elevation of 4200m, ensure that all equipment is in order, and the team is ready for the challenges that lie ahead.

The much-anticipated Friendship Peak attempt (5289m) begins from Summit Camp. This demanding climb tests your endurance and mountaineering skills. Reaching the summit is a momentous achievement, offering panoramic views of the surrounding peaks. After conquering Friendship Peak, return to the Summit Camp for a well-deserved rest.

A reserve day is wisely incorporated into the itinerary, allowing flexibility in case of unforeseen challenges or adverse weather conditions. Use this day as needed, whether for additional rest or to address any unexpected circumstances.

Commence the descent from Lady Leg to Bakarthach, Dhundi, and finally back to Manali. This concluding leg of the journey allows for reflection on the adventure and the sense of accomplishment.
